Terms of Use.

These Terms of Use govern your use of marybehindthesystems.com (the "Site") and any services provided by MaryGoesGlobal LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operating the Mary Behind the Systems™ brand. By using the Site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

Using this site

You may browse the Site, read the content, download free guides, and contact us. You agree not to scrape, copy, or redistribute the content without written permission. Don't attempt to interfere with the Site's operation, security, or availability.

Services and bookings

When you book an audit, training, or consulting engagement, a separate service agreement or statement of work applies to that engagement. Where those terms conflict with these Terms of Use, the service agreement governs that engagement.

• Bookings are confirmed once payment is received.
• Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. Same-day no-shows forfeit the session.
• Refunds follow the refund policy shared in your service agreement. Most one-time services are non-refundable once work has started.

Payments

Prices are listed in US dollars and are processed by third-party payment processors. You're responsible for any taxes, duties, or fees applicable in your jurisdiction.

Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including written material, frameworks (including the 5-Level Workflow Maturity Model), graphics, downloadable guides, and the Mary Behind the Systems™ name and logo, is owned by MaryGoesGlobal LLC or its licensors. You may not reuse, republish, or resell it without written permission.

For engagements, ownership of deliverables is defined in your service agreement. Unless stated otherwise, you receive a license to use deliverables within your business. Underlying methodologies, templates, and frameworks remain ours.

Testimonials and results

Testimonials on the Site reflect the experience of specific clients and are not a promise of similar results. Business outcomes depend on many factors we don't control, including your team, your market, and how you implement what we build together.

Third-party tools and links

The Site references and integrates with third-party tools (Kit, Typeform, Make, Claude, and others). We don't control those platforms and aren't responsible for their content, pricing changes, outages, or policies. Use of any linked tool is governed by that tool's own terms.

AI-assisted work

Our services include work that uses AI tools, including Claude. Please review our AI Disclaimer for details on how AI is used in deliverables and what that means for review and accountability.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and any free content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, or specific business outcomes. We are not your attorney, accountant, or financial advisor. Information on the Site is general in nature and does not constitute legal, financial, or tax advice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MaryGoesGlobal LLC, its members, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from a paid engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that engagement in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MaryGoesGlobal LLC harmless from any claim, damage, or expense arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these Terms over time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
